How to reach our resort
on Lake Achensee

Familienresort Buchau is located in Maurach am Achensee – and by that we mean right on the shore of Lake Achensee. We’ll tell you how to reach us by car, plane, and train.

By car

If you are arriving from Germany, take the Munich-Salzburg motorway and exit at Holzkirchen. Then drive towards Lake Tegernsee and continue towards the Achen Pass until you reach Maurach/Eben. You do not need a motorway vignette for this route.

If you are coming by car from Austria, take the Inntal motorway (vignette required) and exit at Wiesing. From there, follow the Achensee federal road along Lake Achensee to Maurach/Eben.

By plane

The nearest airports are in Munich or Innsbruck. They offer convenient connections between Tyrol and major cities such as Berlin, Hamburg, Frankfurt, Amsterdam, London, and Paris. If you wish, we’ll be happy to pick you up from the airport. Alternatively, you can take the train from Munich Airport (MUC) to Jenbach station. From there, we offer a hotel transfer to Familienresort Buchau.

By train

There are excellent public transport connections from Austria, Germany, Switzerland, the Netherlands, and even Scandinavia – taking you right into the heart of the Alps. You’ll find the full details on the ÖBB (Austrian Railways) website. If you wish, we’ll be happy to pick you up from Jenbach train station.
