The Buchau has been family-owned since 1973 and a member of “Kinderhotels″ since 2006. In 2009 we were awarded 5 “Smileys” and therefore stand for excellent top quality family holidays. Over the years we have continuously improved our offer and today we can proudly present a children's club, a go-kart track, a riding arena with hall, a climbing and bouldering hall, a giant tyre slide and many more exciting things. This has made the Buchau one of the best children’s hotels in Austria and the only one directly connected to Tyrol’s Lake Achensee.
If everyone sticks together and everyone is deployed according to their abilities, then a team is happy and each employee can do their job in the best possible way. Our employees particularly like working on ensuring that your family holiday is unforgettable and awash with every trick in the book.

We have known and accompanied many of our guests for years. We watch your children grow up and each year we notice how their personalities, talents and strengths are developing. Many of our visiting families take part in our regular customer programme and love it.
Our ideas and thoughts, which we turn into targets every year, have always worked out over the last decades. We are very happy and proud of this. One particular piece of feedback that constantly encourages us in what we do, is our huge circle of regular guests and friendly ties, which we have been able to build up over the years.
