Lake Achensee is Tyrol's largest lake at 9 kilometres long and up to 133 metres deep. In summer it reaches a water temperature of up to 20 °C. But the brave dare to swim in the beautiful mountain lake in winter too. The crystal clear water in “Tyrol’s Sea” is ideal for a wide range of water sports activities and is a real eye-catcher with its emerald green sparkle.
Whether it’s windsurfing, sailing, surfing, kitesurfing or stand up paddleboarding – you get the necessary know-how from the trainers here. Fans of water sports learn the right technique to master the various sports brilliantly and to be able to plunge into the waters safely and with pleasure on site at our resort. For example, with a free kitesurfing taster course for all our hotel guests.
We offer a private beach at the lake with a well-tended lawn for sunbathing especially for our guests. Here you enjoy exclusive access to Lake Achensee and spend relaxing days swimming with your family. An idyllic, green spot, totally private and separated for our guests and with its own jetty for diving into the cool water – here you can recharge your batteries and unwind in the comfortable deck chairs and loungers.

The Lake Achensee region is a popular running destination for joggers in summer and winter due to its varied running routes (183 km of designated running routes) in the middle of a beautiful natural landscape. But Nordic walkers also get their money's worth here: 19 of the 23 running routes are also suitable for Nordic walkers. You will find free Nordic walking poles for your excursions in our ski room!
