Kitesurfing and windsurfing Lake Achensee is paradise for kitesurfers and windsurfers. The wind and water conditions are variable, which makes the lake a great instructor – if you learn to windsurf or kitesurf here, you will quickly learn to glide comfortably and get a feel for manoeuvre sequences & speeds with turning wind directions. In the morning a light southerly wind brings classic beginner conditions with 1-2 on the Beaufort wind force scale, in the afternoon a brisk northerly wind usually picks up with 3-5 on the Beaufort scale – for the more experienced & pros. This is complemented by the extraordinarily beautiful panorama around the turquoise blue alpine lake. With the reflection of the mountains in the crystal-clear mountain water and a gentle breeze in your face, nothing stands in the way of surfing pleasure!
 

Stand up paddleboarding (SUP) – standing on paddleboards like Polynesian fishermen

A very challenging form of movement, which has its origin in the Pacific Ocean. You stand on a board and propel yourself forwards using a paddle. You move forwards in the water by skilfully using the whole of your upper body. Anyone who has good stamina can explore Lake Achensee on a board. Summer sunshine, a gentle breeze and the constant sound of the waves accompany paddleboarders. Canoeing

Discover our beautiful Lake Achensee on an exciting canoe trip and enjoy the wonderfully warm rays of sunshine that transform the water surface into a glittering sea of colour. You can hire a canoe or pedal boat on the hotel’s own private beach and head out on a great boat trip with your family.

Boat hire

You can hire pedal boats from our hotel's own boat hire. The hire shop is located right opposite the hotel, next to the private beach on the lake.
